Fire update 2020

On September 8, 2020 the Almeda Fire/Glendower Fire started in north Ashland near the wastewater treatment facility and was carried by strong winds along the corridor through Talent, Phoenix, and on to the south end of Medford. Hundreds of homes and many businesses were destroyed, agricultural land was damaged, and four lives were tragically lost. This is only a partial listing of the status of businesses, based on places I’ve visited in the valley.

Ashland

  • Downtown businesses were not near the fire, but many employees and family members lost their homes.

  • Paschal – spared with “very little damage”
