Don is a third generation band director. He received a Bachelor of Music Education from DePaul University and a masters from the University of Hawaii. After teaching in Lockport, Illinois for 12 years, he organized the Hersey High School band program in Arlington Heights. During his tenure there the band performed at the Midwest Band Clinic, the American Bandmasters Association convention, and appeared in the Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Tournament of Roses Parade. He is now director of the Coastal Communities Concert Band.
