Ashland’s weather is variable during June. High temps during ABC are typically in the 80s, but can range from 60-108°. Overnight lows are typically around 60°, but may range from 45-70°. Skies range from clear to overcast, with an occasional shower or thunderstorm. If you drive up to Crater Lake you’re likely to find snow on the ground. You can’t go wrong if you pack for the heat, but bring a couple of extra layers, including a hooded jacket or sweater, for chilly days and evenings. Make sure you have comfortable walking shoes. Portions of Ashland are quite hilly, but quite walkable if you’re in moderately good shape (which you will be before you leave). Remember you’ll be outdoors most of the day on July 4th, so make sure you have sunblock, sun glasses, a hat, and pants/shorts that will make a comfortable transition from morning rehearsal on the football field to riding/walking alongside our flatbed trucks in the parade. And of course you’ll need indoor-outdoor concert black for the two concerts.
Be sure to bring something red to wear for Canada Day (July1), and rep your favorite baseball team with a jersey or cap if you want to attend the Medford Rogues game.
